The Day After

I am so sore!!!! I couldn't get up to go to BodyPump. Everything hurts! I haven't felt like this in a long time and i have to say it feels darn good. Today Mario and I watched college football all day. The Seminoles won. YAY! Mario is a huge Florida State fan. There were alot of upsets today. 5 top ten teams lost! It was nice to lounge around the house and do absolutely nothing.
6 years ago today I lost my daddy. I can't believe it has been that long. My dad and I were really close. He took me shopping for my prom dress, shoes, jewelry, etc. That's how close we were. Every weekend we would go shopping and eating. I miss you pops! I feel like he has missed out on so much. But just when I start to feel that way some little thing always happens that makes me realize he is watching and he knows. I know that he is so proud of us. I just wish he could be here to enjoy it with us.

Good Workout

After I taught my class today. I stayed afterwards to practice with the Habibis. Laura, Imelda and Margaret were there. We played with our zills for a bit, but we ended up being slackers we talked the whole time. It was nice. Afterwards, Margaret gave Imelda and I an awesome workout. I was sooo embarrassed. I had no idea how to use the machines. We worked on upper body and I have no upper body strength. Margaret was awesome she made everything look so easy, but when it was my turn, I was horrible. Margaret had to help me with some awesome ab machine. It was like having my own personal trainer. I know I am going to be sore tommorrow! Bodypump tommorrow at 10:00 am!

Now I will pimp my brothers. They are both single. They are both educated, responsible fine gentlemen. I will be accepting applications and after a very thorough and vigorous application review, interviews will be set up. Just kidding!

My brother Fernando (aka Penny). He loves me. He is the baby. He is the complete opposite of Javi! I am like his second mother. Poor kid! I admire his heart, his humbleness and his ability to deal with anything. Penny brings balance to the family. Penny is the reasonable one and it takes alot to blow him up. He reminds me sooo much of my father. Whoever ends up with him will be a very, very, lucky girl. And as long as she understands that I come before her, everything will be ok. I love his calm and cool personality, just don't piss him off!

My brother Javier. He loves me. I am older than him, but that doesn't matter. He is my older brother. I admire his determination, his work values, his desire to do things right and to the best of your ability. He always gives 110% whether working or having fun. Whoever marries him will be one very, very, lucky girl. As long as she understands that I come before her, everything will be ok. My very dear friend Edith once told me, your brother is hot, he is responsible he is everything a girl could want, but I would not date him because you would be the sister in law from hell. You think?

My Husband

My husband and I have been together since April 4, 1997. I finally caught his eye in college. We went to the same high school, but he thought I was ugly back then. =OP We got engaged August 1999. When Mario asked my Dad and Mom for my hand, my Dad said "Alright, you want her, she wants you, take her, take her away now!" Yeah, right! They weren't going to get rid of me that easy. Besides as much as Dad wanted me out the house, the rule was I couldn't get married until I graduated from college. Mario graduated December 1999 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He had a huge awesome party. I graduated May 2000 with a degree in Biology. My Mom, Dad, Mario and I ate at Chili's. To this day I have graduation party envy! So now we both had graduated. Let's get married! Not! I started an intership and Mario got a new job and life began for us. This was the start of our very, very long engagement. Every year we said we will get married next year. 2001 we both had new jobs, 2002 my Daddy died (miss ya pops!), 2003 we were all still suffering from such a huge loss, 2004 my brother was over seas, September 10, 2005 we finally got married! It was HUGE! My mom is a florist so she went all out. My husbad is super organized and I'm not. So between him and my mom they took over! They were BRIDEZILLAS! All I had to do was show up. Nobody would give me anything to do because they were afraid I would not get it done. After protesting, I was in charge of getting the weddings bands. I got them two days before the wedding! But I got it done. Its been two years and I feel like I am living a fairy tale.
